Pennsylvania – Certain types of Clif energy bars have been recalled after they were found to contain peanuts, even though they weren’t labelled as containing any nuts.
Some Clif Bars may contain peanuts and tree nuts including almonds, Brazil nuts, cashew, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, pecans, coconuts, and walnuts. None of these ingredients are listed on the label.
The products include the Protein Chocolate Mint bars, Kid Zbar Protein Chocolate Chip, and Kid Zbar Protein Chocolate Mint.
The FDA website has more information about the products affected, how to get a refund, and where the products were sold.
However, the Clif bars are safe to eat if you don’t suffer from a peanut or tree nut allergy. If you’re not allergic to peanuts, you can keep any Clif bars that you might have.
