Rose Township, PA – A Rose Township father and son face charges for allegedly dealing marijuana after an investigation by the Jefferson County Drug Task Force.
42-year-old Michael Cowfer and 23-year-old Brian Cowfer, of Brookville and formerly of Rimersburg, reportedly sold marijuana to a confidential informant during the investigation.
It happened on Aug. 23, when police say a confidential informant bought just under 5 grams of marijuana from Brian Cowfer for $60. They say the sale was arranged through Brian’s father, Michael. Police say they also had a second controlled buy during the investigation on Aug. 29.
Michael Cowfer, the father, is being charged with felony manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, plus felony conspiracy charges and criminal use of a communications facility. He faces misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Brian Cowfer, the son, face felony charges of the manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, plus misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana.
Both of their preliminary hearings are set for Aug. 17.
