DuBois, PA – State Police in DuBois conducted a DUI checkpoint last weekend, and they say they caught three people who had been driving under the influence in just one night.

The DUI checkpoint resulted in those three DUI arrests, plus three drug-related misdemeanor charges, one underage drinking arrest, 12 traffic citations and 19 warnings.

As the summer gets into full swing and especially with the 4th of July coming up, police will continue these DUI checkpoints. If alcohol is going to be a part of your summer celebrations, make plans now so you have a safe and sober ride home.

Police will be actively looking for drunk drivers. Plan on staying where you are, asking a friend who hasn’t been drinking at all for a ride home, or call a taxi or an Uber, which are now available in Clearfield and Jefferson Counties.
