Winslow Township, PA – A Sykesville man is accused of stealing items from another man’s storage unit. Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at Wayne Road Storage in Winslow Township near Reynoldsville on June 13.

The victim, Bruce Mottern of Reynoldsville, said that his lock had been cut off and a new lock had been put on.

It was later discovered that 28-year-old James Michaud of Sykesville had removed some of the items from the victim’s storage unit and put them into another unit leased by his own family.

Several belongings, including a receipt with the victim’s name on it, were found in Michaud’s storage unit.

He was taken into custody on Tuesday. His bail has been set at $50,000 monetary.
