Elk Township, PA – The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh confirmed that, during Monday night’s heavy thunderstorms, a tornado touched down in part of Elk Township in Clarion County.

There were winds up to 80 MPH, and the tornado touched down around the Millerstown Road area at about 5:45 p.m. Monday.

The wind uprooted numerous trees and took down electrical lines.

No injuries were reported, but the National Weather Service would like to remind you to stay indoors and away from windows during heavy winds and tornado conditions.
