DuBois, PA – A DuBois man who is facing child pornography charges pleaded guilty and was sentenced.

21-year-old Jarrod Ross allegedly posed as a woman online to convince a teen boy to send him nude photos.
He was sentenced to 90 days to 1 year in jail, then three years consecutive probation. He’s also been ordered to attend sex offender counseling and to have no unsupervised contact with any male under the age of 18.

The case dates back to November of 2014. Reynoldsville Police were investigating Ross when they found that he had nude photos of several underage boys on his cell phone.

Officers recognized one of the victims. The boy said that he remembered getting a Facebook friend request from someone he thought was an 18- or 19-year-old woman.
Police say that, in reality, it was just Ross pretending to be a woman in order to gain the boy’s trust and get him to send nude photos. Eventually the victim sent 17 photos. He was 15 at the time, though he had told Ross that he was 16.

Ross originally asked for a 30-day sentence, but there is a 90-day minimum. He has been told to report to the jail on July 5.
