Winslow Township, PA – A Reynoldsville man was injured after crashing his Jeep into a utility pole early Sunday morning.

22-year-old John Sprague was driving along Wayne Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County, just after midnight early Sunday when he lost control on a curve. He struck a utility pole, went into a ditch, and overturned his Jeep, finally coming to rest on the roof of the vehicle.

Although no airbags went off in the vehicle it sustained significant damage. The utility pole was also moderately damaged.

Sprague had multiple injuries of unknown severity. He was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois. It’s unknown whether he had been wearing his seat belt.

Sprague is believed to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Charges are pending lab results.
