Brookville, PA – A Clarion woman says her job and life are being affected after she was mistaken for another woman who was recently in the news for child pornography.
51-year-old Christine Cherico Nichols lives in Clarion and works for WRC Senior Services, a company that manages senior living and other properties in Brookville and Clarion. She is the Director and Sales Counselor for the Villas at Water Run in Clarion and is also the Director of the Laurels, the retirement community run by WRC in Brookville.
Christine Cherico Nichols says she has started to receive phone calls from people who are mistaking her for another woman with a similar name, Christine Lorraine Nichols.
29-year-old Christine Lorraine Nichols of Eldred Township was recently charged with child rape, child pornography and sexual assault. The 29-year-old allegedly produced and distributed pornography involving two toddlers. The children have since been removed by Jefferson County Child and Youth Services.
The 51-year-old Christine Cherico Nichols from Clarion has nothing to do with this case. She says she has no association with the other woman and that the mistaken identity has been causing problems in her life.
Sunny 106 and Connect FM and other news outlets have reported the correct name in the stories. However, because of the similar names, listeners and readers are getting the two women confused.
