Brookville, PA – Police had been searching for a man who didn’t return to a halfway house in Erie County, and they say that they have captured him after he allegedly sold drugs on Monday in Jefferson County.

The Jefferson County Drug Task Force, Jefferson County Probation officers and the Brookville Police worked together to set up an undercover drug sale.

They set up a purchase of methamphetamine in the Brookville Memorial Park with 25-year-old Joseph Carter III.
After the sale, Carter reportedly fled on foot as uniformed officers attempted to arrest him. Carter was later found and placed under arrest by the Jefferson County Drug Task Force and Brookville Police.
